A Big THANK YOU and lots of LOVE to the entire VOTE VLACHOS TEAM!

I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone on the Vote Vlachos team.

Jiali Ou - Owner of Graphics Communication. Thank you for the incredible work you did developing my campaign branding, postcards, creating the website, taking photos, and making sure all my branding had the same look and feel. You answered the phone every time I called and provided a solution to every issue my lack of tech savvy produced.

Sean Danby - Freelance Film Producer, Kent Parker - Digital and Interactive Content Producer at Freelance, Paul Cornwall - Camera Man. The campaign videos your team put together are incredible and helped me reach a much wider audience then I ever could have hoped. Thank you all.

Brand Parlor Consulting/Business Services. Much thanks for designing and printing my campaign signs in 24 hrs. I promise next time I'll give you at least 2 days notice.

Steven Hoffman & Terry Hiatas. Your advice, research and feedback regarding my platform and policies was invaluable to my campaign, Thank you.

Bahman Yazdonfar. Thank you for having me on your show ThatChannel.com. One of the issue any new comer to municipal politics faces is the lack of exposure to local media.  Your team at Independent Nation and ThatChannel.com is doing something to bridge the gap and you should be proud of your efforts.

Pagiotis Margettas. Thank you for putting up my campaign signs not once but twice after many were torn down.

Bejamine Dichter - Candidate for  Ward 27. Thank you for your encouragement and persistence in demanding I run for my ward and do whats best for the people of our great city.

It would have been impossible for to me to have done any of this without your help and support.  I really appreciate all your hard work, advice and creativity!

Sincerely,

Jimmy Vlachos
Candidate for City Council
Ward 29 Toronto-Danforth

TTC and Revenue generation - VOTEVLACHOS.COM Ward 29

Our City needs all the money it can get and increased taxation is not the answer. Revenue streams exist you just need to know where to look. Subway stations have the potential to be excellent 2 or 3 story income properties. Triple A locations attract triple A tenants and that's money we can count on for decades to come

City Infrastructure & TTC Development - VOTEVLACHOS.COM Ward 29

Everyone is talking about subways, transit and congestion. Every politician has a plan. City Council has debated several over the last 40 years. The truth is any real, effective, long term plan is going to come from the province because that's where the money is.

Revenue streams and smart spending will get us back on track. On October 27th Vote for revenue streams and smart spending, Vote VLACHOS.

TCHC Reform & Income Properties - VOTEVLACHOS.COM Ward 29

A Billion Dollar bag log in repairs, mismanaged properties, people living in run down buildings... There needs to be something done about this mess.  I plan to put people to work fixing TCHC properties and revitalizing empty buildings in order to rent at full market value to help add money to the coffers at city hall. My experience with income properties and property management will help get the TCHC back on track. Vote Vlachos.

Property Tax Freeze - VOTEVLACHOS.COM Ward 29

Annual tax increases are unsustainable. In the last 8 years Toronto's operating budget has increased by 42% and property taxes have increased and average of 2.5% annually. We can't tax our way out of spending issues. I plan to freeze property taxes, introduce income streams and support and intelligent budget.

Announcing my Run to become CITY COUNCILLOR FOR WARD 29 TORONTO-DANFORTH

Like my fellow constituents, I desire to live in a city where Councillors listen to the public, where Councillors effectively respond to calls from their ward, and where elected representatives help people find remedies for their problems. I believe there are more options than increasing taxes and cutting services. I believe we can learn from other great cities on how to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and generate revenue. The job of city council is to work together to resolve the issues affecting the people of our great city and I plan to do that regardless of who sits in the mayor's office.  Toronto is a world class city and it's time our city council worked together to find world class solutions that carry us forward towards our bright future.
